Interpretation from session with Ben Ko:

Ben initially shows up as Red (leaning pink)

the red is high in saturation with areas of deep, dark red - some magenta. I can tell this is a standard color for Ben - a regular part of him. Red can sometimes show up as a temporary color when a person is going through a significant life change.

Red in personality: displays leadership qualities - you don’t have to be good at leading others, but people naturally want to follow what you’re doing. You have influence over others without trying. This is accompanied by a strong physical presence with authority. A clean red like this represents passion whereas when the red becomes more muted and dark, it can be anger. All red personalities have the capacity for intensity - in the full spectrum of emotional expression.

Dominant Personality Color #2: Orange

Orange shows creativity and confidence, a person who is comfortable with attention and being in the spotlight (this is especially true if the orange leans more yellow.) Orange people can be artists, but they are not the artists that make work alone (like blue and purple), their art is public facing, and if they are not artists, they use their creativity by supporting other artists and might have a neglected wish to have pursued art. They often do not become adult artists because they are more connected to practicality and a drive for success than a blue or purple artist.

Temporary colors that are of this particular phase of life:

The first non-dominant color that showed up for Ben was a light green.

*Ben’s colors are all complex colors (they have a bit of the opposite color mixed in). He doesn’t like straight out of the tube color. This shows up for creative people as those who are visually particular, with aesthetic preferences, tend to energetically request that their paintings display visual harmony. I always find this funny when it shows up because I'll be stuck mixing a color 10 + times to get the right shade. There is something inside me that says, “nope, not quite…” again and again until the hue is spot on.

For Ben, this tendency also shows balance. His traits don’t want to be too extreme. If he has one color, he wants to also express the opposite.

Green shows up as a temporary color during a time of healing. The placement can reveal an area of the body that is being addressed. Green with yellow is more high energy than a pure green or green mixed with blue.
